Analysis Module

The Analysis module is used to:

  • Create laminate property data for FE Analysis, based on Layup information created by the Design module, or read directly from a *.Layup file (View module) or imported through FiberSIM files (Design module).

  • Write Nastran- or Ansys-format input deck files that include all the laminate property information, i.e. translate Layup information to finite element properties, ready for analysis (PCOMP cards or SECTIONs or Real Constants).

  • Include the effect of stiffness property variation due to draping, via shear state tables.

  • Write Optistruct optimiser input decks, reflecting the global ply definition and taking advantage of unique optimisation features.

  • Extrude surfaces to generate solid Nastran elements, with automatically calculated properties.

  • An advanced feature of the Analysis module is built-in support for the PCOMPG Nastran format that relates element properties back to the original global plies.
