Beams Module
- Beams of different cross-sectional geometry can be analysed
(e.g. L, T, I, channel, box, tube).
- Beam loading geometries include simple beams, stepped
beams, off-set loads and torsional loads.
- Constraint coefficients are included for clamped open
sections.
- Support conditions include clamped, simply supported and
free (includes cantilevers).
- The analysis can include shear corrections.
- Numerous results are produced for the cross-section and for
the beam stiffness and strength.
- The predicted failure ratios can include buckling modes,
clearly identified.
- Easily assessed graphs of displacements, bending moments
and shear stresses along the beam, with full control on plot scales.
- Parametric
option allows any output parameter to be assessed as a function of variation
in any input parameter (e.g. buckling modes vs. rib thickness).
-
Support for Sandwich configurations, including
local skin buckling modes.
